Love Birds Card

Hey everyone!

Wow, this is probably the latest I've ever submitted a card but it's just in time for this weeks Paper Cutz Challenge!

Challenge: Use ONLY the colours pink, green, blue, purple and white.

I really like how this card turned out. Really simple but I thinks in worked :) Sorry about the quality of the photo, there's no such thing as good lighting in my apartment after the sun goes down :P

Thank You for Grandpa

Hey everyone!

This is a long overdue post. I made this card for my dear, dear Grandpa before I started this blog. If it wasn't for all his support, I never would have been able to get anywhere with my cards.

He used to be a farmer so that's why I put him in overalls with a little pig. He was so thrilled when he got it in the mail! It makes me smile just thinking about it :)

Scrabble Mother's Day Card

Hey everyone!

Here is my entry for the latest Cricut Cardz Challenge!

Challenge: A card for mother's day using any colours.

I had a lot of fun making this card. It was commissioned by my wonderful aunt :) for her mommy. I set it up so that if it where on a real Scrabble board, and the F was on the center square, this is what it would look like. And yes, all the letter values are correct. That's the first thing my aunt checked :P

Birthday Card and Ribbon Wreath

Hey everyone,

To make up for missed posts, I'll share as many as I can this week.

So this past week was my mother-in-laws birthday and I made her a little card and a ribbon wreath.

 Recipe:
Pagoda Cartridge -flowers
Paper from my stash

The wreath was a little more complicated than the card :P it's still pretty simple though. It's a 14" foam ring that I pinned 4 1/2" lengths of ribbon to. It's so simple but it takes a butt load of time and patience. I cut and pinned on 1260 pieces of ribbon. That's 472 1/2 FEET! of ribbon! Yowza! It really does take time, but if you have the patience, the results are so pretty!

You Are In My Prayers Card

Hey everyone!

Wow! It's been over two weeks since my last post! Oops! I'll try to not let that happen again. I've been productive though! More posts to come soon!

Anywho! It's time for this weeks Paper Cutz Challenge entry.

Challenge: Use buttons and bows with any colours or theme.

This was a tough one for me. I couldn't think of what kind of card I wanted to make and I've been trying to think of an all week but then on Sunday I heard my friend is sick so I decided I would do a get well soon card. It is perfect because she LOVES buttons :)

Home Tweet Home Card

Hey everyone!

Time for this weeks Cricut Cardz Challenge entry!

Challenge: Use a house image from any cartridge, a touch of lace and a flourish using any colour.

I have a couple houses over my collection of cartridges but I thought it would be cute to use a birdhouse. This is my first time drawing on stitches (they're a little hard to see in the picture) but I think they turned out just fine :)

My cat so graciously modeled beside my card to help show off the pop dots on the birdhouse :P

My Baby Brother's 19th Birthday

Hey everyone!

So Thursday was my little (not so little he's like a foot taller than me :P) brother's 19th birthday. Makes me feel so old! Anyway, we had him over on Wednesday for dinner (he's a vegetarian so we had vegetarian tacos) and his fave dessert -trifle. We played some board games and watch Dragon's Den (he'd never seen it before and now he wants to be on it :P.) It was such a good night. With him at university he doesn't get home cooked meals very often. He took ALL the leftovers with him. It made me very happy :)

Here is the card I made him. His fave colour is purple so I wanted to include that but I don't have a lot of purple paper. I tried to keep is as masculine as possible, so simple seamed to work :P he liked it which is all that matters :) I stuck a West 49 gift card to the inside of the card so it didn't sit quite flat.

Here's a picture of the two of us with the little banner I made as a little decoration. :)
